Default Uninstall 11R Driver in Windows 7

I need to use my 11R with my older PC this week and run PT 10.3. This is a Win7, 32-bit PC that ran PT and 11R fine for years. But I have not used this PC for music production for a while.

Here is what the issue are. Again, WIN7, 32 bit, PT10. The 11R connects fine with its driver and is recognized in Windows and PT10 launches fine. The 11R window appears in PT10 but none of the images of the gear appear and I can't load presets from the computer. I can change User and Factory presets. So in that regard, 11R driver is connecting and communicating with the 11R vis PT10.3.

PT10 Set Up does not however show the 11R as a playback or audio option at all. (Other DAWS I have do and it works fine).

I did notice the driver on my older PC is version 1.1.10 (May 4, 2015 - PT 11.3 to 12.3). So I may need to revert back to version 1.1.7 (Apr. 3, 1014 - P 10.3 - PT 11).

Problem is, I can't seem to uninstall the 11R driver. I keep getting a error message. "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run."

Any ideas would be appreciated. I did delete the Avid Preferences in C:\USER\APPDATA\ROAMING\AVID.

The 11R and PT has work so well for me in 12 on my new PC, I forgot what it was like having issues with it.

Make sure 11R is switched off when uninstalling driver. You should be able to remove it from Control Panel>Programs in Windows.

Reboot and check (in Control Panel) to see if it is gone.

Re-install driver with 11R switched off then restart with 11R switched on.

This always worked for me 'back in the day'

Thanks man. I did but I will try again. I may need to disable my virus software too.

I seem to recall having to disable Internet Explorer, but I don't think that was for the driver.

I'll try disconnecting all USB devices too.

No luck. Anyone have any ideas on how to uninstall the 11R driver? Windows 7, 32 bit, 11R driver 1.1.10.

Trying to uninstall via Control Panel Program Manager. The uninstaller runs about 75% through and then this pops up.

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
