Sticking with LE 5.x and OS9.2-What Sampler to Get
I plan on sticking with my Digi 001, LE 5.x, and OS 9.2. Everything works great and I experience no crashes, lock-ups, etc.
The problem is that my hardware sampler bit the dust (lightning strike) and is not going to be worth repairing. I would prefer to go with a software based sampler, but every shop I go to tells me that I will have to upgrade to OS X and LE 6.x in order to do this. That can't be correct, can it? Aren't there still a few soft samplers on the market that are direct connect compatible? |

Re: Sticking with LE 5.x and OS9.2-What Sampler to Get
I made the jump to OSX to get Reason working smoothly with PT, and it is a dream - all except OSX is sooooo sluggish compared to OS9 (for me w/ G4733). I've been looking into Reason with PT5, but it seems there may be some timing issues as well as a much less elegant way of getting audio into PT, so you may want to investigate in that area if its important to your needs. Hope that helps.
