Pro Tools Ultimate Annual Subscription Renewal vs. New Annual Subscription

Hi,

I currently have a Pro Tools Ultimate subscription that expires next month and I was looking to purchase a subscription renewal from a reseller and take advantage of the sales that are going on now. Just wondering if there is any difference between the Annual Subscription Renewal and New 1-year Subscription. As far as I understand they are they same. However, most resellers sell them as separate products and right now the 1-year New Subscription is less expensive that the Annual Renewal ($479USD vs. $599USD). Can anyone confirm that the two products are exactly the same and that the New 1-year Subscription can be use as a subscription renewal?
