Dont rush it. read the "release notes" have a back up system?
Hi,
best advise!! take your time and read the release notes! always good to have a backed up system drive/partition incase things don't go to plan immediately! carbon copy cloner ideal fro backing up your system drive http://www.bombich.com/ Ilok will be busy PT11 only uses AAX PLUGINS (All previous RTAS and TDM plugins will not work!) Enjoy Chris

Re: Dont rush it. read the "release notes" have a back up system?
AMEN!!! + a million! PC users, buy Acronis True Image(or similar). You WILL be glad you did(as long as you actually USE it). My recommendations:
If your system is working good now, image it now(as in RIGHT NOW) If you are building from nothing, image with the OS installed and tweaked(#1) Image with just Pro Tools installed and tested good(#2) Image with everything installed and working good(#3) Image again with PT10 and 11 both installed(#4) I keep a pair of 2TB USB drives that hold nothing but images and a folder for every downloaded program or update. I also keep a clone of my working system drive.

Paragon Backup & Recovery 2013 Free has worked very well for me as does the disk image backup built into windows 7.

Bumping this thread for obvious reasons.
Create a restoration image before jumping in there. Shane

DO IT. If you don't, you may wish you did.
