my cd rom dont read my pro tools

i bougth the keystudio 49, but my pc dont wanna read the pro tools essential cd-could it be cause my pc dont have a dvd rom, and can i just download pro tools?

The Pro Tools disc is a DVD, not a CD. A DVD drive is part of the system requirements; the software is not available to download.

Some options.

Install a CD/DVD combo drive.

Load the disk into a computer with a DVD drive and copy the contents to a USB thumb drive. You will need a 8GB thumb drive if I recall correctly.

Beg, Buy or Borrow a USB optical CD/DVD combo drive.

I have similar problem with PT LE. I have DVD drive, but my DVD drive don't read 8GB DVDs. PT installer DVDs are not standard 4.7GB DVD.

I had to copy content of DVD (on another computer, which was reading 8GB DVDs) to folder, than copy this folder to computer where I want install PT (by network connection) and run installation from folder.
