Default Subscription renewal question

I am currently on Artist. My subscription auto-renews on November 17.

When I click on the renewal button it shows an upgrade to Studio for X amount of dollars.

If I were to click on that and add it to the cart, does that mean I would upgrade to studio now for X dollars, and then when my renewal date of November 17 comes, I would auto-renew for the full price of Studio?

I expect comparing the value of X to the costs of a Studio annual subscription would answer your question. I doubt other users here are interested in guessing what X is.

It doesn't matter what X is. I assume it's an amount that covers the cost of Studio for the number of months remaining in my Artist subscription.

I am just wondering if I make that upgrade now, will my auto renewal automatically be at the Studio Level? I believe so, I just want to be sure.

I misunderstood and thought you were asking if this upgrade price covered the remaining time this subscription period and another year or not. Most folks here do not use subscriptions so don't see the details in the offer you are seeing.

But Avid is not going to let the opportunity go by... once you upgrade then they will price the next years subscription at the same higher tier. But you are not locked in, you can not renew and then start a artist subscription.

Do you really have so little to do in your life? I guess with 20,000 posts you don't.

Hi Bill......

I checked your AOL account and your MyAvid shows that the renewal option shown for the Artist is for an upgrade to Studio from July to November and the $75 and change is the pro rated price to go from Artist to Studio for roughly 4 months. Since autorenew is off, the artist will not renew and your option for that is not listed.

Hope that helps...

When I look at my account dashboard, it says auto renew is ON. Why do you say it is OFF?

Bill

I saw the red color and immediately thought it was off. It's not but it wont renew unless you update your CC as the one on file has expired per our site.

HTH and apologies.

Marianna,

Yes, red is a really bad choice, you guys should use green or blue for "ON".

I did update it. When I view it says the expiration is June 2028, but the site is not recognizing it...can you please investigate.
