If it's true, it must have been a quality control issue thing. I had 8 different units (Control&mix) and returned all of them due to terrible fadernoise and fadercaps flying off.

Well, I'd think that they're just phasing out the Euphonix-branded units and replacing them with ones that boast an AVID logo. And my guess is that the price will be bumped up in the process, too.

That's just on MF's site. If you go to Sweetwater they still show the MC Mix & the MC Control branded under Euphonix. If you look under Avid control surfaces all they show are the Icon units.

My second MC Mix is finally shipped and I will go and get it tomorrow - will be exciting to see if it's branded Euphonix or Avid...

I was told the other day that there is no news yet (from Avid) of any cancellation or new hardware changes. In fact, the person I spoke with believed they are still shipping Euphonix ones as they have those.

Unfortunately for me, I had a version 1 MC Control that worked well other than the viewing angle and I upgraded it and now I am on my 3rd Mc Control V2. All 3 screens have a flicker.

I was told it is a known issue with no solution from Avid.

Got my second MC Mix today - the brandname is Euphonix, they have changed the rotaryencoders to the same sort used on MC Control v.2 and (to me at least), the screen appears more yellow and less green then on my previous one and the fadercaps seems modified.

Could you tell me where you bought this one with the v2 encoders? I'm considering getting a second MC mix and possibly even selling the first one for better knobs.

I would be interested also, I was told by Avid there is no v2 Mix and in fact they are shipping the same v1.

Of course that does not mean I got accurate info...

It's not branded as a Mix v.2, I'm just stating how I felt it when I compared my older and my newer unit!

I bought it at Halméns Musik in Helsingborg in the south of Sweden. (Which means that it's more expensive then in the U.S. and it's the EU-version)
