Default MC Control touch screen misreads coords of press

This happens often, but not all the time. Not sure if it's a hardware or software problem. Anybody else has this?

Is there a way to calibrate the screen or something?

So it's probably a software bug? Are more people having this problem?

If so, AVID/EUPHONIX please fix this because this pretty much makes the MC Control unusable for us (for me at least anyway).

Hi guys,

There is a way to recalibrate your touchscreen. Have either of you contacted customer success? If you have, and your case is not in progress, please email me directly at [email protected].

Regarding softkeys on the MC Control: These are regulated by an xml file that you can edit with the EuControl softkey editor. Feel free to post requests about your customized appsets and what you'd like to see in the default!

Best,
JC

It is very easy to calibrate your touchscreen:

1. Power down your MC Control.
2. Press down the "bank left", "bank right", and the "nudge right" buttons on the right hand side of the MC Control simultaneously.
3. Power on the unit (with the 3 buttons still pushed)
4. You will enter into test mode.
5.Touch your touchscreen

From here, you can calibrate your touchscreen. We suggest you use an object with a precise point for a more accurate calibration but not a pin or anything that's sharp enough to mar the surface.

Couldnt agree more. This update was pretty bad. Don't get me wrong I love having Eucon supported but we've lost so much that im gonna have to run in HUI until another update. John could we please get some of the soft key commands back like solo clear, copy/paste plugin settings those are the ones ive noticed so far but there's definitely a lot missing that used to be there. Also the fact that quick punch doesn't work is such a huge over sight I don't know how a release was made without it working. Im sure you guys are working hard, hopefully we can get a new release quickly.

We're working on a reimplementation of the app set to bring back some of the HUI-like configurations that you've been used to.
