Default MC Transport

Hi

Anyone using the MC Transport in ProTools ?

I am wondering about the advantages of the MC Transport
compared to the transport section on the MC Control.
Do you really need that one in ProTools,
or is it more useful when you work with Video / Film ?

Thanks

G

I got one with the mix and control for PTHD, the only reason I like it is because I'm use to a proper jog wheel on my Control 24 and the one on the MC Control is a little dinky feeling. I wouldn't say it's necessary unless your going to use Logic or FC so that all of its features are Eucon. Your probably fine with the transport and wheel on the MC Control

Thanks for your input.

I think I might let it pass for now.

Isnt it funny how the company that owns Euphonix are the only ones that arent utilizing all of its features, which in turn prevents guys like us from buying more of their product. Its just funny to me.

all the buttons (inlcuding the Num Pad) on the Transport units are programmable.

The wheel is leaps and bounds better to work with than the 'data entry" wheel on the MC Control.

In some ways it is nice to have an MC COntrol, but an MC Mix + MC Transport is a great alternative.

I was actually looking for inputs on the MC Transport
in addition to the MC Control working in ProTools.
And from what I hear,
I guess I really don't need it all that much ...

I have a MC Transport and I must say I don´t think its worth spending your money on when using Protools.
The assignable knob and many other function doesn´t work with Protools.
I have regret that I spend my money on this. Hopefully it will be better when protools gets eucon.
