Problems with MBox 2 Pro
Hi everyone,
I'm not a Pro Tools user, but have recently been using the MBox 2 Pro (firewire 400) along with the standalone CoreAudio driver (7.4.2) as my general audio/midi interface and for use with Logic Pro 8. It's performance so far has been really spotty in what seems to be a lack of cooperation with CoreAudio. It will be working fine for awhile, but will then suddenly stop routing any audio out of the computer. Often, if I unplug and then re-plug the firewire cable, the computer "sees" the box again and all is well (except for having to go through this annoying step). Recently, though, it has stopped working entirely. It still shows up as the selected I/O in both System Preferences and the Audio MIDI Setup utility, but is routing no sound whatsoever, regardless of what application I'm using. Have tried some minor troubleshooting like re-installing the driver and switching FireWire cables, but with no results. Is it OS 10.5.6? Compatibility with Logic? Maybe I have just a gimpy unit... Suggestions? thanks in advance, Nate |
