Hi guys. I'm pretty sure that this was discussed before but it's not clear to me yet
I have a perpetual license that goes till pro tools 12.8 I've checked my upgrade option on my.avid.com website and I have one that says GET CURRENT my question is: If I choose this GET CURRENT option, after one year, will I be able to keep using my perpetual license if I decide to not renew or get a new current version? Let's suppose in one year the current pro tools will be the PRO TOOLS 2023. Will I be able to keep using the 2023 version if I don't pay a new "GET CURRENT" license? This is really confusing cause I have 2 options the GET CURRENT and 1-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION PAID UPFRONT I don't want by any reason get into a subscription model cause I'm a hobbyist and if this is the only option, I'll have to move to a new DAW Please, help me to make this clear. All the best Bruno |

The GET CURRENT is a perpetual license upgrade. It will provide a new perpetual license bundle with a 1-year Software Updates Plan. You can renew the plan (while active) otherwise continue to run the version(s) provided during your term since you'll still have a non-expiring license.
The 1-year Subscription is a renewable temp license that will authorize Pro Tools for 1 year. Based on your explanation it sounds like you'd want the first option.

If you purchase the Get Current offer, you'll be able to continue using the last version of PT that was available to you before the 1 year of updates included with the Get Current ended.
If you purchased the Get Current today you'll be able to use PT 2022.7 In one year from now if the latest version of PT is 2023.6, you'll be able to use PT 2023.6 forever. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
