Default MIDI Greyed out?

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Tiger (4.5) and consequently PT 6.9.2. Suddenly when I create a MIDI track it's greyed out, and there are no tracks in my drop down input and output selection boxes. It simply says "all" and "none" with no choices available for me. Does anyone know how I can restore this so that I can use my MIDI controller (Korg O1-W FD).

I must confess I'm hopeless with MIDI. I've had Finale for a year now and still can't figure out how to input via my Korg (have to do everything on the computer keyboard or mouse). So I'm sure my problem is something very basic that I'm overlooking. I'd appreciate any help here.

Thanks!
