Default Crossfade (WOW)

Tried searching for answers and I'm baffled?

Just started doing this in the last week.

Guaranteed this will happen every time I create a cross fade and I want to slide the cross fade a hair either direction I get the spinning ball of DEATH every time and have to force quit. I never in all the years I've seen this in all previous version going back to 7.

Any suggestions please, thanks.

you're in the Pro Tools 2021 forum yet your sig says you're using Pro Tools 2020.3.1
you might get more response from 2020 users.

idea . . . possibly close the session, zip & then delete the WaveCache.wfm file. reopen session.
