How to control faders with midi controller?

I have an AKAI MPK 261. It has 8 sliders on it along with 8 knobs on top to control volume and pan. I am wondering if anyone knows how I can make these sliders control my volume faders on individual tracks. It would feel nice to be able to use the sliders instead of my mouse. Thanks

Pro Tools supports HUI and EUCON control surfaces. The AKAI MPK 261 will not do EUCON and I doubt it does HUI, if it does you'll find that mentioned in their documentation.

Agree with Darryll. Sounds like you really want a control surface. Lots of options there from under $100 to several thousand. Some to look at:
Presonus Faderport gen 1-under $100 used and works very well, only 1 fader
Presonus Faderport gen 2-around $200, only 1 fader,
Qcon makes an 8 fader HUI surface for around $400
Presonus Faderport 8(or 16) $500(900) for 8 or 16 faders
Behringer X-Touch-under $400 with 8 faders(lots of buttons that won't work)
Avid Artist Mix-$400-500 used. Eucon(instead of HUI) for better integration.
Avid S1-$1295(new). Eucon and the best of these options
Plenty of others for more money(with more features). Prices are estimates
