I've been following a thread over on Gearspace where a multitrack recording was provided for anyone to download and play with. Lots of fun.
I created a follow-up, but can't, for some reason, get it to post on GS. So I thought, what the hell, someone on the DUC might be interested, so here goes: This is meant to be a continuation of the "Mix this!" thread that many people enjoyed. A new song, all the separate tracks unprocessed, for anyone interested to download and mix. Post your mix, get feedback, have fun and share. The band is called "Gung Ho" and the song was recorded at my studio by me. The song is funky with lots of stuff going on. I won't post a mix here now, so people can start with a clean slate. I can come back with details on technical stuff later. This is not a competition, hence there are no rules. I would suggest, however, that we don't add or replace tracks, so that it keeps focus on the mixing. If you have Pro Tools you should be able to open the .ptx session directly, if not, the audio files folder contains wavs for each track, all starting at zero time and named and numbered to be drag'n dropped into any other DAW. All audio is set to peak at 0 VU, -18 dbfs. The files are 44.1/24.

Any idea why I'm not allowed to create a thread on GS?

Quite often when I navigate GS, I'm thrown to a page I didn't ask for, and the page is a mess layout wise. Then, try again 40 seconds later, and it works. Maybe that is what happened. I need to go back and re-read your description to see if you left any error description or the like :)

Gearspace fixed the issue and the thread is now up and running:
Mix this 2 Should you happen to want to post a mix or comment here, no problem, but I do expect more activity over at GS.
