Antelope Orion Studio 2017

Hi. I got a strange problem....
I allways record in 44.1, but now I got a project in 48... actually the first in 48 since i got the Antelope Orion Studio 2017
I have UA 4-710 connected with ADAT and W.C
When I set the samplerate to 48 on the 4-710, it locks with the Antelope control panel, but when I start Pro Tools the clock source changes to USB....
The same happens also with ADAT and Oven as clock source....
When I,m in 44.1 its ok

What am I doing wrong????

I am on windows, and I have to use the ASIO driver

Pro tools 2021.7
Windows 10 pro
i7 6780k
16GB ram
Asus x99
Latest interface drivers
Windows up to date

not a real solution but I have a Discrete 8 and Antilope's Audio Server is just argrgrgrg...

never get it right the first time when I change the Sample rate - after 3 restarts it somehow works

I don't have an exact solution either but was going to chime in to say something similar: that Antelope hardware can be flaky and you might need multiple attempts to get everything to communicate properly.

The Orion Studio really sounds good, but software and driveres from Antelope can be a bit problematic.
Guess I will record with 12 mic,s instead of 18 :)

A coworker uses an Orion in his home studio and he keeps Antelope tech support on speed dial. Great sound indeed, but they cause more headaches than they should. Antelope is weird in that way: they *know* it's a problem and has been for years yet they don't seem to make improvements.

Anyway, good luck and let us know how it gets resolved. Hopefully very easily.

I was used to RME drivers and how straight foreward everything was... not so much straight forewardness with Antelope

But recording without the need of ADAT worked
