Or in short. Can you guys at avid please have the protools control panel start at 44.1 KHZ? I do not know how many times I have freaked myself out becasue the sample rates do not match when windows first starts. A gigantic scratch sound is all I hear until I change the sample rate from 48 KHZ to 44.1

Please, it must be a simple fix.

It’s painful to haves watch a video you could have described the problem for in one sentence. That will likely stop many folks replying here.

I don’t have any experience with the Avid Duet on Windows, but it’s generally a bad idea to share an audio interface between a DAW and Windows sound. Set Windows sound to use a different sound device.
