Avid Plug-ins- Presets won't appear

Hey everyone,

I've been searching how to fix this with no solutions yet. None of my Avid plug-in presets are appearing. Waves, Native, SoundToys, everything else is fine. I'm using the Mac Studio with an M1 chip, and I'm using ProTools Studio through Rosetta

So far, I have clicked the arrow next to Preset on the EQ3 app, tried to import settings, found the folder Documents-Pro Tools- Plug-In Settings- EQ3---- but nothing will import, thought the settings clearly exist in that folder.

Some folks said it could be a privacy issue, so I opened the Info from the Pro Tools app, changed all of my settings to Read & Write for admin, system and everyone. Changed the privacy setting as recommended, and it also didn't work.

I have done this in my Pro Tools preference files...
Delete the following files:
AvidListFile.txt
DSIPrefs
InstalledAAXPlugins
Last Used.pio
Pro Tools Prefs
updater.properties

Nothing has worked. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hmmm, did you do anything "special" during the installs that might have sent preset files somewhere unexpected? Are you able to save your own presets and have those show up the next day?

Your Presets folder may have been installed in the wrong place. You may have more than one folder named “Documents” and the Preset folder may have been installed in the wrong one. Copy the Presets folder and paste it in the other folder named “Documents” and see if you can now see your plug-in presets.

It worked for me.

Great idea. I did save a Preset in EQ 3 just to check. It showed up again after restarting the computer.

What I'm seeing in the EQ 3.0 folder is the .tfx file from my saved preset, alongside the folders containing the other presets. There's a _1 Band EQ folder, Acoustic Guitar folder, etc.... all of the presets are there. BUT, they're not being read by the actual plugin.

Yes for the factory presets you need to click the "factory default" arrow , not the Preset arrow that is for saving , renaming , copying ,etc.

So you mean, under the "Preset" listing. Where it says , right? When I click that, there are no options to chose. Only .

I'm not sure why that posted that way. Let me try again...

Ya for some reason the (greater than and less than) brackets (horizontal arrow icons) make the word disappear when posted in a reply ???

BUT
Correct beneath the Preset space is the "factory default" space (with the arrow brackets) if you click the little down arrow just to right of the word "factory default " all the factory presets should appear . If not then I would guess there was an error when you downloaded the plugins.
So if trashing your PT preferences does not fix it you will likely have to trash the Avid plugins and re-download them

Yea, that's where they should be... but they aren't. I'll try the route of trashing and reinstalling.
