What is the OSX Version for current PT|2023 w/ HDX3 in a Mac Pro 2019

Looking into Upgrading to Mac Pro 2019 from maxed out 5,1

My quick take is I'd start on macOS Ventura and see how that goes.

You do know the 2019 Mac Pro is the last Intel gasp Apple is taking and might only have an macOS and Pro Tools update life left of a few years? Great if you absolutely need Intel compatibility and/or can keep systems configs frozen for years. Or want a known safer box for HDX3.. and avoid all Thunderbolt expansion chassis risk (and I suspect that might be a good reason if you can live with the other issues of an approaching end of life product).

Unfortunately suspicions are the new Apple Silicon Mac Pro might not even be here until 2024.

There is no way you can upgrade your current Mac Pro to keep it longer? Upgrade Boot PROMS, MacOS versions, NVMe storage, memory, upgrade CPU, etc.? (yes I know HDX 3 eats slots that could help here).

And splitting hairs but it's "macOS", name changed from OS X in 2011.
