I was 'aware' of the differences, but that didn't stop me from pooping the day I started Pro Tools and all my Melodyne tracks were SNAFU.

...and IMHO anything that stops working when I stop paying is a DEMO. This is distinct from a subscription of course. But I do not recall entering into a subscription agreement with Avid...

But hey, I still love Pro Tools. My DAW of choice.

It is a mess on so many layers, what plugin licenses are perpetual, what plugins are in what plugin installer bundle, what plugins are core and will auto reinstall if removed, what installers support what architecture systems, what are the redundant installers, esp. few old Intel only installers in My Products, etc. That is why I made that spreadsheet for myself. Absolutely I should not need to be doing that.

I was not trying to soften or defend the situation. But by no demo I was also thinking no plugins that show behavior of some demo plugins like audio glitching, muting, se time limits (like stops working normally after so many minutes) etc.

Also does include the instruments that come stock?


I just upgraded my dinosaur 5,1/ DIGI 003 to Sequoia and I absolutely tired of being tricked on the plugin bundle.


From now on I'm strictly using my third party plugins.
