I didn't really follow the rest of this thread, but why are you setting parameters around 1/4 notes in 6/8 anyway when your beats are 1/8th notes? 6 beats in each bar, 1/8th note is one beat = 6/8, yes?

after many years of working with quirky workarounds I now tend to set the SESSION TEMPO as dotted fourths and the METER as 6/8th with an 8th note click. This makes everything work as expected, including Click II.

For 6 Beats per Bar (ONE 23456), set Meter to 12/8
Click II marches to this beat
