Hey guys,
Just wanted to share this. I've been looking for a cheap and easy way to access my patches on my 11R without having to pull out my Roland FC300. I figured that with the recent MIDI implementation in iOS 4.2, there must be something for the iPad that can do that. As it turns out, I was right http://web.me.com/miu.aco/miuaco-software/ Today, I managed to set up S1 Midi Trigger for the iPad and the corresponding server on my PC. With the 11R hooked up to my PC, I can now switch patches with my iPad. This is, to me, the most fantastic thing for home use as I no longer need to set up my FC300 to get instant access to my most frequently used patches. The program is super cheap as well, it has my thumbs up! Setting up the server can be a wee bit tricky, but if you follow the steps on the website you should be gold. Happy patch switching :) Note: I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with S1 MIDI. I just felt that I should plug their app because it exactly filled a niche that I was hoping it would. |

How does the iPad hold up to being stomped upon?
![]() <j/k> I didn't realize that there was MIDI support in that space. I also noticed the Line6 MIDI Mobilizer while perusing your link. On the one hand, it might be kind of cool to have a customizable control surface. On the other hand, I'd use actual stomp switches more than a control surface, and I already have an FC-300. (Worse: I don't own an iPad; one of those makes the FC-300 seem inexpensive.) On the other other hand, a customized control surface on top of the rack, used to access controls not on the main page of the 11R, might have some value. On the other other other hand, more to carry… ![]() |

Hey TieDyedDevil
I am using this almost exclusively for home use. I jam along with tracks a lot at home, and I was looking for a quick way to access my most frequently used patches. Space is a real constraint for me, so I'm not keen on setting my FC300 at home. The S1 MIDI Trigger really hit the spot! Don't thunk I'd be using it live, that's what the FC300 is for. Although, I am tempted to get an iClip and the USB camera kit and give it a shot... For home use, it is most certainly awesome. no stomping involved I'm afraid :) I wouldn't go out and buy an iPad just for this, but it sure is one of the perks. So is typing this reply right now :) Next step - set up S1 to control the protools mixer and transport! |

How difficult is it to set this up? All I'd want to do is switch patches at home.
