move selected track faders without grouping?

Yes, this is a nice feature that most DAWs/Consoles have - alas not Pro Tools. If you have Soundflow, it has a "temp group" function that allows you to quickly create a group and then destroy it with a single button push - not perfect but a decent workaround for this kind of thing.
