New Windows PC build for Pro Tools 11.3
Hi all,
We're looking to build a new Windows 10 PC, which is to be compatible with the following: - Pro Tools 11.3 - Fast Track Duo (USB) - Mbox2 (Firewire) Based on a few posts on the forum, it looks like Windows 10 works (even though it's not officially listed as a supported OS by Avid). Avid provides some information on the 'Qualified Windows Computers' (click here), however it's not very clear what is supported if you were to build your own machine. We're thinking about using an i7 6700 processor, 16GB RAM, SSD and an Nvidia GTX970 4GB video card. Would this be enough? Would we be able to get away with slightly lesser specs in terms of processor and video card, and if so, what would you recommend? Thank you for your help! |
