Default Midi Controller setup.

Hello,
I have just recently installed 001 on my mac, and have a new midi controller I have purchased with it, a Fatar SL990. The Fatar is a controller only, as it has only a midi output, no input. I set it up so that the contoller is recognized in OMS as sending midi machine controll and can accept data on all channels. If anyone is familiar with this unit, could they tell me if it is set up correctly? I would be primarily using this as a controller to interface Reason and Dynamo, which was included in the Factory bundle.

any input/feedback is greatly appreciated.

I assume it's not working?

If the keyboard doesn't have a MIDI in, forget about any 'receive channels' in OMS.

In fact, click the arrow pointing to the keyboard icon to make it dissappear.

Is the keyboard icon linked to the Digi001 icon in OMS (with an arrow pointing to the Digi001)?

Is the keyboard checked as an 'Input Device' in the Pro Tools MIDI menu?

Default Re: Midi Controller setup.

I have a similar problem.
I have the Fatar SL-61 which is simply a midi controller and and EMU 5000 ultra sampler. I connected the MIDI out of the controler to the MIDI IN of the 001 and the MIDI OUT of the 001 to the MIDI IN of the EMU 5000.

Does anyone have any idea of how to set these up in OMS? I had it working the other day but due a misunderstanding in MIDI recording the TECH support on the phone told me my OMS setup was wrong. I changed a few things (like she said) and now I can't seem to get anything working. Please help me with this setup.

It seems logical that the controller would be checked as (is controller) and receiving no channels and the emu as multitimbral 1-16 but this is not working.

Should both devices have arrows going to the digi001 or should the be connected to eachother then the digi001?
