Default HTDM Ripp off
I feel very cheated paying a premium for HTDM plug-ins from Waves. Only to find them buggy now they are SOL in Protools 7

Does this mean Waves IR1 won't work in 7? I enjoy using IR1 but it is, as I understand it, HTDM only in its currect incarnation.

OTOH, HTDM has been riddled with fleas from the start, so perhaps this will create incentive for Waves to rewrite the HTDM plugs.

Thr RTAS versions work fine... as do all the TDM versions.

my understanding HTDM is gone because RTAS now fully supports all the features of HTDM and more.

Yes that's right but I guess he's wondering since he paid a premium for a HTDM plug-in that is still under WUP !!! Does he get some kind of refund. WUP states that for 1 year you get all updates, support etc, if the product now becomes useless and discontinued what happens ?

and what will happen in 2 years if i pulll up an old PT6 or 5 session that has a ton of waves plugz for a remix tweak...is my client gonna be happy with me?

i told him we were 'vitually virual"

got virtue WAVES.

VIRTUE....hey that sound like a nice name for a new plug!

Are the HTDM plugs now worthless?

If I own Waves IR-1 HTDM, would RTAS be better?

I wouldn't mind a refund.

Although it's not really Waves's fault. They still did the extra work required.

Sucks for me. Could've saved a bunch.
