Compatibility is not your issue.

I'm having the same problem.. on Ultimate 2022.4.0
The issue has been there since I moved from 12 to Ultimate across 3 different Macs. It's definitely a Magic Mouse issue because when I'm on a MacBook and having issues selecting makers, I have to click using the track pad and it selects the marker immediately. It's very annoying.
