PT5 & OMS Names Manager (MIDI patch names)
Has anyone successfully used the OMS Names Manager under ProTools 5.0 to get your synth patch names to show up in PT's MIDI patch list? The PT ref manual says (pg. 206) that "If your MIDI devices are subscribed to OMS patch names, these names will appear in the Program Change window in Pro Tools... For details on using the OMS Names Manager, refer to the online OMS Manual included on the PT CD-ROM." However, I'm pretty sure that you need to set the host app (PT) to subscribe to a "names bundle" (as I used to do from "Studio Victim"), but there seems to be no way to do this from ProTools. It looks like the OMS manual tells how to do it from Opcode apps (using the Windows menu) and refers you back to your "third-party" docs for how they handle it.
Thanks! dv
