You need to be more specific as to the problem.

For example, when you send these mp3 files, do you get a message from a mailerdaemon in your inbox saying it is undeliverable? If so, whoever you are sending the file to has a mail server that won't accept that large a file. The solution is to use a lower quality mp3 bit depth and try again, or set up an ftp server.

Different email accounts with service providers have different restrictions. Your email account may not allow sending large attachments, or the people you're trying to send them to might have an account that doesn't allow attachments over a certain size to be received.

There are various ways around this, but it's probably going to cost money. Maybe your ISP allows you a certain amount of space as part of your account that you could use to set up a web page or FTP site.

Probably the simplest solution, especially if you're using a Mac, is to set up a .mac account http://www.mac.com/ There are a number of features that come with a .mac account, and it's quite painless to get things set up. You end up with an iDisk icon on your desktop that acts like a virtual folder on a hard drive. Just drag the files you want to share into the appropriate folder, and then others can log on to your download page and download them. .mac requires a paid subscription, but I believe you can still try it out for a short time before you decide.

MP3 is already compressed... if lower bitrate still creates too large a file maybe you should consider encoding with a higher-compression codec like RealMedia or the QDesign Muscic codec
