Default Mbox Pro (3rd Gen) volume knob

Hi all. The monitor controller/volume knob on my Mbox Pro seems to be wacky. The volume knob at null is around 7 o'clock, but no sound will pass until the volume knob is turned to around 8 o'clock.

To reach low playback volumes (ie for background music purposes), I have to turn down the output in the Windows mixer.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? Anyone know what might be the cause?

Same here. Both the monitor, headphones and mic gain knobs are not very accurate.
I think atleast the mic gain should have been in steps instead of variable as it is now.

My volume knob allows no audio to pass between 7:00 and 8:00, then all of a sudden after 8:00 the sound pops in at a volume that is not quiet in any sense of the word.

I'm having the exact same issue here - no volume at all until around 8 o'clock then it kicks in. Can't seem to find any info about it anywhere. Are you guys using OSX Lion? Any thoughts on whether that might be the culprit?

It also happens in Windows. Very low gain until you reach a point on the rotation and then a big increase.

So we've all got this problem and in over a year Avid hasn't addressed it? Wow...
