yes, confirmed working with 3rd-party too. both directions.

except it doesn't intelligently apply this process to track presets, eg a mono plug-in chain saved and applied to a stereo track will result in multi-mono plugins on the stereo inserts - but dragging them off to a mono track, and then back again will make it stereo (if available).

Hey everyone, as of today M1 is supported which is awesome! But I noticed that the CPU cores in the "System Usage" window has dropped from 8 cores to 4 cores. I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to that stuff, so I am just wondering why that has happened. I know the M1 arcutecture is "different" so maybe the 8 cores was never suppose to be there because PT wasn't supported yet? I don't know lol Just wanted to ask.

Update: when I turn OFF hybrid mix engine - and restart protools - then it sees my HDX cards, and runs as expected.
So the hybrid engine (only) is NOT utilizing the HDX cards, but the system usage windows shows them, but all 100% unused.

I think that what you are saying is how it works now.
Just open the mixer window and press the new thunder button for each channel that you want to put on the dsp chips.

Amazing how yesterday a 5.1 session in a HDX 3 was going half full and today the same session only uses 11% of host cpu without any DSP going thru the cards.

275 channels full of plugs, like 16 reverbs ( altiverbs, stratus, revibes,)

Absolutely love that red on inactive plugs.

IIRC Rosetta (translated) apps only run on the performance cores.

Welp. My install didn't go so well. I've got an HDX2 system and after installing the hd driver and the latest 2021.6.0 my system isn't showing the cards and digitest shows no cards. That's just great.

Edit: Seems like an installation issue. For some reason:

sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/DigiDal.kext

Works and I can use the device. Uhh.. now how do I make it so I don't have to load it manually every time?

What model of computer are you using? Is it an M1 Mac? If so, the HD Driver isn’t supported yet for M1 Macs, which prevents HDX and HD Native from being used.
