Upgrade from PT8 to PT9

HI all,

I've been on PT8 for a while now and I've seen some 'Avid Pro Tools 9 Crossgrades' on ebay for £100.

They state that you need to enter the serial number of your Audio interface in order to activate PT9.

I've got an Mbox2 Pro, an Mbox2 Mini, and an Mbox2 Micro. I got all of them 'preloved' and none of them are registered to me.

At the same time I don't think that the serials have been used to upgrade. I bought them before PT9 was even released.

Can I use an 'unused' serial number (from Mbox2) to upgrade to PT9 or does the Mbox also have to be registered to my account?
