Default PT9.02 & macbook 2ghz intel i7 crash

macbook 2ghz intel core i7
4GB ram
OSX 10.6.7
PT9.02 (re-installed and updated drivers)

I'm able to launch PT & suddenly have the session crash. No particular key stroke or repetitive pattern causes the crash- just crash.

Any know issues with i7 & PT9.02?

I know the HD is @5400RPM-however I've been using external FW800 WD @7200RPM and still crash.

Kernal panic also comes up.
I've attempted smaller sessions and larger sessions,
from internal to external drives; with and without
audio in the session.

Same outcome.

Crash and kernel panic.

There's no crash as long as I don't touch the mousepad or keyboard- however
once I touch something- immediate kernel crash.

You got me really nervous there... I have just finished all the installations except my Eleven rack drivers on my brand new MBP 15" 2.0 Quad i7. I was just about done when I thought I would do a last check for updates etc. (PT, Reason and a lot of sample libraries.. hours of installations)

Then I saw this...

But something must me wrong cause everything is working fine here. I just opened Pro Tools and started a session on my system drive without any external device. Works perfect so far.

- You do have your ilok inserted into your Mac right???
- Have you done the optimizations for PT? Some of them, if not all, might be necessary for stability.
Your Airport is not activated?

Long story short... this should work!
Hope this helps.

My authorization from the ilok has PT9 HD on it.
(brand new upgrade purchase from HD7.4 surrender license)

An associate suggested that the difference between HD and just 9 could be the problem...
