Default running 6.9 and 7.0 on the same computer

hello.
i have been running 6.9 with out any problems. i purchased 7.0 to take adantage of the discounted plug ins. i can not run 7.0 and deal with possible problems but i do want to give it a try. i think i can have 6.9 and 7.0 on my computer at the same time???

if so, are there any issues that i should be concerned with?

hello,
if you're not sure, you can make 2 partitions on your harddisk. 1 with 6.9 and 1 with 7
if 7 failes you can go back to 6.9 on the other partition (startupdisk)
greetings, johan.

One problem you may have is that both versions will share the same plug-ins folder, and when you install PT7.x, some of your plug-in updates may not work properly in 6.9. I keep a working b/u system with PT 6.9.2 on an external firewire drive, until I'm sure PT7 is stable enough to rely on, and until I'm sure that all my plugs are compatible.

Not if you are running it on 2 partitions.
