Default Re: PTLE 5.0 to 5.3.1 - Upgrade questions

Hi BrB-
When 5.3.1 was released, it was a free upgrade from 5.1... has that changed?
If not, may be you'll only need to pay for the 5.0 to 5.1 upgrade.
As nightshade said, 5.3.1 is the whole package. Only need to paste in a good SN from 5.1 to get it up and running.

Default PTLE 5.0 to 5.3.1 - Upgrade questions

OK, so I never made the jump from 5.0 to 5.1, but I'm now very interested in throwing XP on my PC and upgrading to 5.3.1.

I understand that it's a $50 upgrade from 5.1 to 5.3.1, but do I also have to pay for the 5.0 to 5.1 upgrade?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

nope. the download is standalone(i think thats what its called..?)which means that you pay the 50 bucks and its like a whole new software thing. PT 5.3.1 is really good. and xp has gotta be by far the most stable platform by windows. good luck

You first have to upgrade to 5.1 for $50. Then you can download 5.3 for free.

Be sure to back up all your plug-in installations.
