Default Too long for comfort... problems with long session files

Since I had the whole studio mic'd up (5 X drums) (2 X Guitar) + (1 Bass DI), I thought that I'd record the band's most recent practice. The practice was about 80 minutes long, with 8 separate tracks recording. Everything seem fine and then I bounced to disk for another 80 minutes. The bounce appeared to work correctly, and the audio sounded correct during the bounce. However, when I burned the resulting AIFF file to disk, it was all scrabled. Start and stop times for the various tracks appeared shifted.

After waiting 80 minutes to complete this bounce, I'm obviously reluctant to repeat this process again. Has anyone else had trouble bouncing long sessions to disk? I'm using a G4 466mhz with 512 megs RAM and 40gig IDE Maxtor dedicated audio drive. PT version 5.1.

-Import the bounced file into a session...what is the quality of the audio? If it is clean, then something happened during the CD burn.

-If the audio is "dirty", bounce a portion of the session to your system drive and see how it sounds.

-What format utility did you use on your audio drive? We recommend Apple Drive Setup for all ATA drives.
