A New PT Perpetual License Question

I got a friend who's a drummer, kinda high up the food chain drummer. He tracks his drums for others out of his home on an old 2008 Mac Pro which had an OS & RAM upgrade in the last year, he also has older firewire based interfaces he's loath to get rid of because all his high end mic press & such are permanently set up so all he has to do is import stems from the client, adjust his cue and it's of to the races. He's a brilliant musician and a good mechanic but matching an OS and PT is not his forte, he just wants it to work. He texted me this morning about getting a PT12 license (he's currently on PT10 vanilla) and I'm sussing out his OS/PT version options for him but as he's on the road and can't check his Mac for the info I need.

My question is if he purchases a current perpetual Vanilla license from Sweetwater will it include pervious versions like 11,12, 2018...etc? My Ultimate license has 10,11,12,2018, 2019... would Vanilla be the same going back?

If he purchases a new Pro Tools Perpetual, the license will authorize v12.6/higher.
