Default VS2480 backup CD into PT

Good evening,

I have stumbled across some Roland VS2480 Backup CDs which I would love to get into PT and give the songs a new lease of life. I don't think the backups are standard WAVs hence my Mac doesn't recognise them as a disk that can be read nor does PT when in the 'import' window so does anybody know of an app or process to 'unlock' Rolands backup disk format to access the tracks hidden within the backup CD and into PT?

Thank you in advance for any help as always.

Perhaps this SOS thread has some useful information for you:
xtracting data from a Roland VS-2480

or this from VS Planet :

N.B.
this is the only active link I could find for the VSWaveExport software:

There was a program I was able to do this with for a client many years ago. It required Windows XP, which at the time was very old, and the program was much older I believe. I wish I could remember the name, but at least I know this is possible. I think it was called VSsomething. Hope this helps a little.

If you find a good solution, post it here so perhaps others can reference it.

It was (is) called VS Wave Export.exe. I still have it as i recovered a number of things from my old VS recorder this way.

I do remember having to get my oldest PC that was being stored into the mix as it was running XP.

If you need it and have access to a machine running XP, let me know and we can find a way to get you the software & documentation

Best regards,
Bob Charest
