Default Finally, a click-track solution...this is cool

For all of us who have struggled with the limitations of using the archaeic method of providing a click track in pro tools...check out Trillium Lane's TL Metro. I have been beta testing it for awhile and it's awesome. It is an RTAS plug. It will provide more than your simple quarter-note beats. It will do eighth and sixteenth, and triplets at the same time. It has a wide variety of built in click sounds. You can use different sounds for each setting you desire: quarter note to be rim, eighths to be shaker, an accent shaker on the one each measure (and you can define how many beats in the measure to properly accent beat one). All individual sounds have their own volume control. You have the option of importing wav files of your own to use. You don't have to print it to a track either if you choose not to because it will link to transport and link to your tempo maps if you desire. One cool function I like is that you can open more than one metro plug and they will link together, so if your drummer loves the cowbell on eight notes but that drives your keyboardist nuts, give each person their own customized clicks. No, I am not affiliated with them, (I know this sounds kind of like an infomercial, I'm just a beta tester, and now that they have posted it on the digi site, I can now tell people about it.) They also have a cool plug in organizer called Fauxlder... You can check out on the digi developers site.

This is where the "Search Digidesign.com" link comes in handy. (the DUC search engine is separate from the main website) Click on that link, and do a search on:
trillium

which will take you to the Developers/Press Releases article on Trillium Lane:

with links to their website:

I got this info from TL Labs today.

Jason

We discovered an incompatibility between our
registration system and the Qmail program
used by some ISP's, which meant that your
ISP refuses to accept the email from us. About
a dozen people didn't get the email as a result.

We should have it fixed tonight. I'll send
you an email when we have it done.

Thanks,

Todd Hooper

I tried the fauxlder, though, and its wonderful.
Just a little file that simulates a plugin, and the only thing it does is to put its name in the plugin list. Thereby you get to organize your PI menu with subtitles. Not officially supported, but worked fine for me. And its free.
