Default PT 8.1HD and PT12.8.3 On Same...

...Computer and OS (Win 7 64bit)?

Curious as I'm hoping to have my current PT 8.1HD setup (with 8-Core UA Card), and a PT 12 Native install along with a UA Apollo Twin (and the 8 Core UA Card) on the same computer?

Am I asking for trouble LOL!

Do I need to do a dual boot routine instead, or install to different HD's or Partitions?

TIA!

PT8 was 32bit XP-era software, I doubt it works in 64bit W7

PT HD 8.1HD and the UA Apollo/8 Core Card all works fine currently under Win 7 64bit (even though PT HD 8.1 is a 32bit app etc).

I just need to know if I can install PT 12.8.3 (non-HD, and the last version for Win 7 64bit), on the same system/OS, or whether I need to dual boot etc?

IIRC it was only 10 and up that allowed dual installation. IMHO, best would be to dual boot W7/PT8 and W7/PT12 or W10/PT12.

Thank you, and this is what I've read as well.
