Not to mention useless, since if you actually needed the backup license you're unlikely to have the existing one to hand. I can't verify if this is the case with ours right now as I don't like to synchronise iloks whilst they're in use. But I think something funny is going on here at any rate, and I'm glad the issue was raised cos I hadn't noticed this until now.

I can confirm as well. I wondered where those pesky back up licenses went.

I think my new plan is too leave them there, and have a new blank iLok on standby ...instead of downloading them to a spare and risk misplacing the spare iLok because I never use it.

I can always hobble along on Digi plugs for a few hours (or few days).
