Default Trouble installing firmware for HD Native
Hi folks,

just installed PT 10, the native card and connected the interface, but unfortunately it always asks me to update the firmware. I used the flasher which seem to work fine (it upgrade 4 times 100% ok?), but after a restart it again wants the the update?? Have done it several times now!

I am on Win 7 64 bit.
So I don't have any computer with apple OS (checked the other thread).

I have to admit that going thru the Avid support section for native issues leaves me out in the cold.

so what am I supposed to do?

TCM,

I didn't have any trouble updating firmware on my native card and hadn't heard of anyone on Win7 x64 having trouble. I would suggest you call Tech Support since you should have free support with a new system.

Alternatively, try FPGA Upgrading via Pro Tools HD 9.0.5. Both Pro Tools 9.0.5 and Pro Tools 10 have the same Native card firmware.

I guess you mean uninstall 10 and install 9?

Thanks Aaron and Greg,

I have some trouble with my new motherboard, it will get rma-ed back to England.

I will try to test it in my old quad core and install PT9 first.

I will let you know how it works.

Damn, I had to surrender my PT9 licenses to get PT10.

So no luck with this!

Went to my dealer, he popped it into a Mac Pro and the firmware update went smoothly.

The same here..on Mac it was easy,but had to pay $80 for this service...
