I'm not turning up much on that error - is there any text that goes along with it?

Can you give us complete system details? Information on what we need to know to help you can be found in the Help Us Help You thread.

I am getting the same error in a PTLE 8 session on a Mac using 002R.
when I create a new audio track, set the input, arm for record , it creates an error message when I hit transport to record. Error message reads "(-1407) while creating audio". Have deleted track closed session reopened tried again, to no effect. Also closed pro tools and restarted computer to no effect.

Never had this error before.

I am getting the exact same problem as jtsok. (-1407) while creating "audio files".

I recently deleted the fallowing Preferences folders after which i started receiving this Error.

DAE Prefs, com.digidesign.ProToolsLE.plist, and DigiSetup.OSX

After deleting these preference folders I began receiving the error message (-1407) while creating "audio files"

My Hardware:

Digirack 002
IMac
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB

Help appreciated!

I had this same problem... was working off an external hard drive. Could record existing tracks but could not add new ones and play or record.

I went to Disc Allocation and unchecked the "Custom Allocation Options" check box... then it started working. I think it has something to do with changing the directory under which audio files are stored. I hope this helps.
