Importing Reason Stereo Files Into Pro Tools
Sup guys
Here is the deal, I've mixed down a song which is panned the way i want it with reason. I've exported it as a .wav and everything sounds great listening to my file with windows media player. Then I import it into pro tools and all of my pans are not even panned right, everything is in the center.....Any ideas on what the problem is? |

Re: Importing Reason Stereo Files Into Pro Tools
If you click on the parent file in the regions list does it list under it 2 file with that name, one with a R, one with a L. If not it may have been converted into a mono wav on importing.
Stupid question: You are using a stereo track to listen to it in PT, aren't you?

Re: Importing Reason Stereo Files Into Pro Tools
What didn't work? The waveform showing in the Audio tracks? When you exported the mixdown what file format did you use, .wav or .aiff?

Re: Importing Reason Stereo Files Into Pro Tools
This may seem dumb... but, did you check to make your you didn't have Mono output selected on the front of your rack or control surface? Pressing that will pan everything coming out of ProTools to hard center for phase analyzing.
Also, if you drop them onto Mono tracks, you have to pan them hard left and hard right manually. |
