Record a reason loop into pro tools
How do I record a reason loop into pro tools?? I already setup pro tools to record reason tracks but once it gets to the end of the loop it doesn't record anymmore. The only track that works is the redrum device. Can anyone help me fix this problem??

When you say 'when it gets to the end of the loop, it doesn't record any more', what do you mean, exactly? Is the loop in Reason? Is Pro Tools in loop record? Which Reason instrument are you trying to record?

I record all the music of the song in reason, so now I'm trying to record the music into pro tools so I can mix it and lay the vocals. So says its a 5 bar loop that I recorded in reason it records fine in pro tools, but once it gets to the 5th bar reason doesn't loop the track and pro tool continue to record a blank track. The instruments I use are the NN-XT and the Redrum. For some reason it seems like reason is controlling pro tools.

Reason will only loop if Pro Tools is set to loop playback or record.
I think maybe what you should try is either recording the loop into Pro Tools for the 5 bars, then duplicating it on the track to the length you want it to be. Either that, or duplicate it on the Reason track and then record it into Pro Tools.

I turned the loop off in pro tools and and once I turn the loop on in reason it turns the loop playback on in pro tools. How do I get it from doing that?

You can't - in ReWire mode, the transports are locked together.

why wont my m-powered protools open up reason3.
IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY M-POWERED PROTOOLS READING THE DIGIREWIRE PLUG-IN. IT SHOWS UP IN MY HARD DRIVE APPLICATIONS AS A PLUG-IN, BUT I TRY TO OPEN IT ON A TRACK IN THE MIX WINDOW ITS NOT SHOWING REWIRE IN THE PLUG-INS. IVE TRIED OPENING REASON UP 1ST AND VICE VERSA BUT IT STILL DOESNT READ IT. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY INFO.
