Default 002 Frozen

I was just playing my itunes (computer out) through my 002 alt input . I run PT on a Mac G4. All of a sudden it just froze and stopped working. It wasn't even on for more than 2 hours. The 002 is in perfect shape and never been abused. I have never seen it do anything even close to this problem. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this and if it can be reset? It is completely frozen and wont boot for PT or standalone mode. Once in a while it will get to the verifying screen and freezes.

I also have been hearing about a firmware update for the 002 but can't find it on the site.

Thanks for you comments

If a system that's been working fine stops working, it's highly unlikely it's got anything to do with a firmware update.

This sounds like the all-too-common power harness problem. Call Digidesign, they'll take care of it promptly. Search this forum for 'power harness' for more details.

I'd open it, and re-seat the connectors on the power harness. It's easy, but I'm a highly trained electronics guy.
