Reading track overviews takes a very long time

Hi!

Any ideas about this issue?
Ive, MAC PRO, 3,2ghz, 8GB RAM, Protools 9.0.6, MAC OS 10.6.8
Waves and other standard stuff.

I have this issue since more than a year, even on "small" film projects.
(30 track or so...)

I have trahsed all "possible" Prefs (digi, waves, plug ins) and remove all
automation data... same again...

ANY IDEAS?

I can cancel the "overview" read... and session is up faster (my workaround sofar... but it IS annoying!0

Is the session recalculating your waveforms overtime you open a session? because once it does that once it shouldn't have to do it every time you open a session.

I trash volumes prefs every time we have any errors like that. But not exactly sure thats your problem.
