Default New update changing H/W buffer size?

I've noticed my H/W buffer size changing from 1024 to 256 a few times since the update. I can't really pinpoint it to what else it could be. I've only been doing mixing and my buffer will always be at 1024, so 256 is odd. Just wondered if anyone else has run into this.

Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP. I am on macOS High Sierra, which is now dropped, but this and the last update were working fine otherwise.

Try resetting your nvram/pram on startup - that might help. To do that hold down the cmd/option/P/R keys when you start the computer and hold them down until you hear the second startup chime. That sometimes helps with oddities.

Hi.
Working with 1024 buffers It's okay to change to 512 buffers. However, if you save with 512 buffers, you will not be able to play it when you restart the session.

Maybe you misunderstand. When I load a session with a current buffer of 1024, PT changes it to 256 by itself.
