Default Windows xp 64-bit

Does anyone use windows xp 64-bit as an operating system? If so how does it run and are there any issuses with it? The reason im asking is i have a amd quadcore processor and without a 64 bit operating system it only runs on two of the processors. also i have 6 gig of ram and windows xp 32 bit only handles up to 4 gig of ram. any info would be greatly appreciated.

No version of Pro Tools will run on XP-64.

Even if you COULD get it running, there would really be no advantage as PT is still a 32-bit program.

Well, there is DUC legend drifting around now and then that...I'll just leave it at that.

Depending on your computer skills, if you want to jump onto the bleeding edge, there's always stuff to try. I only recomend that stuff for the diehards. A few suggestions though:
  • Always experiment on a completely separate drive.
  • You WILL hose your system experimenting, so be prepared. (I hosed my rig 3x last week trying to make PT Native better for us )
