G4 dual 1.25Ghz
Anyone running a G4 dual 1.25 Ghz with a 001 or a 002. I'm interested to know what kind of track recording count you get, and plug-in instances. I also would like to know the amount of ram and hard drives you have. Also have you had any problems with the system hang on start up with the mirrored drive door models with the 001.
I'm thinking of purchasing a mac to use solely for sequencing and recording with pro tools, I don't care about the new G5 as long as I can do pretty much all I want with respect to recording, sequencing and plugins on the G4. I would also like to use reason with rewire support that PTLE 6.1 now offers. I'm not planning on recording live bands just a simple mixing set up with several synths via midi. A bit of overkill will be just fine in this matter Any help will greately apreciated!!! Thanks Niros |
